Brian Akers is Executive Vice President, Enterprise Security Executive, and Chief Information Security Officer for KeyCorp. In his role, Brian leads a team responsible for Information Security, Physical Security, Enterprise Fraud Services, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Operations, and Corporate Investigations. Brian is also the Chief GLBA Officer and a member of Executive Council for KeyCorp.
As a member of Key’s technology and operations organization for over 30 years, Brian has partnered across every line of business within Key in support of internal and external customers, effectively building relationships with his partners to solve complex business and technology problems.
Brian has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Management Information Systems from the University of Dayton. He is a member of the Northeast Ohio Society for Information Management, and he is a graduate of the Society of Information Management Regional Leadership Forum. Brian is a member of the BPI BITS Security Steering Committee, FS-ISAC CISO Congress, and Security 50 organization. He is also active in his community, including serving as a Board member for Coach Sam’s Scholars.
