Shantae Cherelle, JD, MBA, is a cybersecurity and technology risk leader who advises executives on the intersection of cybersecurity, business strategy, governance, and organizational resilience. Drawing on her multidisciplinary background in law, business, and technology, she helps organizations make informed risk decisions that enable innovation, strengthen stakeholder trust, and support sustainable growth.
She currently serves as a Senior Manager and Business Information Security Officer (BISO) at Bain & Company, where she partners with senior leaders to address emerging cyber threats, enterprise risk, governance, and resilience challenges. In addition, she serves as a fractional Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) on behalf of Bain for partnership organizations, advising leadership teams on cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and transformation initiatives.
Over the course of her career, Shantae has led cybersecurity, technology risk, governance, compliance, and enterprise risk programs across a range of global organizations, including Bain & Company, Greystar, Elsevier, Legg Mason Brandywine Global Investments, and Vanguard.
Recognized for her ability to bridge technical complexity, business priorities, and governance requirements, Shantae works closely with executives, and cross-functional leaders to transform cybersecurity and risk management into strategic enablers of growth, operational excellence, and innovation.
